Influence of gamma radiation on the thermodynamic properties of AgCuS compounds

ABSTRACT

The influence of gamma radiation on the thermodynamic parameters of the AgCuS compound is studied. The studies are carried out by Differential Thermal Analysis (DTA) in the high temperature interval (T = 600-1250 K). DTA spectra of irradiated samples are analyzed at doses D = 50 kGy, D = 100 kGy and D = 200 kGy, and the thermodynamic parameters of the phase transition are determined. The breaking of weak chemical bonds and the formation of partial amorphization in the crystal structure are observed under the influence of gamma rays.
