ABSTRACT The light absorption by free carriers in an anisotropic parabolic quantum wire with allowance for the processes associated with the simultaneous scattering by phonons is theoretically investigated. The statistics of a non-degenerate electron gas is used, and the absorption coefficient dependence on the radiation frequency is studied.
