ABSTRACT In this work, the influence of various crystalline structures produced through a variety of technological conditions on optical properties of polystyrene- and silica-based nanocomposite were investigated. Three crystalline structures of polymer nanocomposites were produced by cooling them after a hot pressing procedure at a different speed, namely β=20000°C/min, β=200°C /min and β=20°C /min. The crystalline structure of the obtained samples was studied by an X-ray diffractometer. In addition, the absorption spectra of nanocomposites were studied via UV-visible spectrometer, and the optical forbidden band gap of the samples was determined depending on the cooling speed. Keywords: temperature-time conditions of crystallization, supermolecular structure, thermoplastic polymer, porous SiO2, UV spectroscopy PACS: 68.37.Yz, 61.43.Gt, 07.60.Rd DOI:- Received: 22.06.2022 AUTHORS & AFFILIATIONS Baku State University, 23, Z.
