ABSTRACT TiC nanoparticles were irradiated with different doses of gamma rays. The thermal properties of nanoparticles were compared before and after irradiation. DSC (Differential Scanning Calorimetry) analyses were performed before and after gamma irradiation. The oxidation degree of titanium carbide (TiC) nanoparticles was investigated in the temperature range of 300K<T<1300K. Partial oxidation was observed in the DSC curves after irradiation.
